Beginners start with the Prelude for Kids program custom designed with the young piano learner in mind by Andrea Dagenais, Music Director of Andrea's Music Studio.   

The course which uses a song book, theory book and flashcards to reinforce concepts takes approximately 19 weeks to complete.   An average lesson includes learning 2 new songs, going over new theory which will coincide with new concepts learned in the songs, reviewing flashcards and a playing a game!

Upon completion the student will be fluent in note recognition and staff notation, playing 8 measure songs written on the staff, all fundamental theory concepts, sight reading and practice techniques.

All teachers are trained to help the parent and student with practice routines, styles and other practice elements that are necessary to make learning to play the piano a success.
